Epoxy Flake Floor Coating
Our flagship full-broadcast epoxy flake system is the floor most Northern Colorado homeowners picture when they think 'finished garage' — a dense carpet of vinyl chips locked under a clear polyaspartic topcoat that hides imperfections, adds grip, and shrugs off everything from hot tires to dropped wrenches.

[ 01 ] — Overview
The one everyone asks for.
Epoxy flake (also called a chip or broadcast floor) builds in four distinct layers over a diamond-ground slab: a 100% solids pigmented epoxy basecoat, a full broadcast of 1/4" vinyl flakes troweled to rejection, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat that locks everything in. The result is a roughly 40-mil system that's far thicker and tougher than any roll-on garage kit from a hardware store.
Because the flake layer is broadcast until the floor can't absorb any more, you get a consistent, seamless look with built-in slip resistance and no thin spots. It's the best balance of durability, appearance, and value we offer — which is exactly why it's the system we install most.

[ 02 ] — Why It Works
What you get with this system
Hot-tire & chemical proof
The polyaspartic topcoat resists hot-tire pickup, oil, gas, brake fluid, and road salt — the things that destroy big-box epoxy kits within a season.
Built-in slip resistance
The flake texture creates natural grip even when wet, and we can add an aggregate additive for shops and entries that need more.
Hides slab imperfections
The dense flake broadcast camouflages minor patches, color variation, and surface flaws that a solid-color coating would highlight.
Custom color blends
Choose from dozens of flake blends to match your home, shop branding, or a clean modern palette — every blend is mixed to order.
[ 03 ] — The Process
How we install it
01
Diamond grind
We mechanically grind the concrete to open the pores and create the profile needed for a permanent bond — no acid etching, no shortcuts.
02
Repair
Cracks, pits, and spalled areas are filled and ground flush so the finished floor is smooth and structurally sound.
03
Basecoat & broadcast
We roll the pigmented epoxy basecoat and immediately broadcast flake to rejection, then scrape and vacuum the excess.
04
Topcoat
A clear polyaspartic topcoat seals the flake, and the floor is ready for foot traffic the same day and vehicles within 24 hours.

Epoxy Flake Floor Coating FAQ
- How long does an epoxy flake floor last?
- A properly prepped flake system with a polyaspartic topcoat will last 15+ years in a residential garage and comes with our lifetime adhesion warranty. The key is the diamond-grind prep — that's what prevents the peeling you see with DIY kits.
- Can you install epoxy flake in winter in Colorado?
- Yes. We use polyaspartic chemistry that cures in colder temperatures, and we control the garage environment during install. We coat floors year-round across Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.
- Is epoxy flake slippery when wet?
- No more than bare concrete, and usually less. The flake creates surface texture for grip, and we can add an anti-slip aggregate for shops, entries, or anyone who wants extra traction.
